NovaCapita Director Rob Moss
NovaCapita Director Rob Moss

Rob started working with small and medium sized enterprises when he joined Business Link, the UK Government’s enterprise support agency, as one of their youngest business advisers when it was launched in the mid-1990s. He went on to restructure business support and economic development services in the county of Essex before joining the University of East London in the early stages of its knowledge transfer development programme in 2001.

As Director of Knowledge Dock, Rob developed the University’s commercialisation and enterprise department into an award winning operation, recognised within the UK for its excellence in developing student talent within business and by the European Union for its role within the regional development of East London. During this time he increased on-campus incubation facilities, supporting 75 businesses on-site and many hundreds more in the local area, as well as developing international linkages and business partnerships across Europe.

Since leaving the University, Rob has continued his international enterprise development work with the establishment of NovaCapita Ltd, alongside continuing his other business, Experio Life Ltd, which he co-founded in 2000. NovaCapita Ltd continues the work of developing international linkages between innovative businesses and connects with new entrepreneurial talent both from within the EU and increasingly across continents.

Rob’s skills and experience are found in his ability to develop growth strategies for small and medium-sized enterprises, his understanding of the commercialisation of new ideas, his extensive network cross- sector in the Greater London region, Europe and the USA, and his experience of the bidding for, and delivery of, European funded projects.

A qualified MBA, coach and marketing professional, Rob was recognised as a Chartered Manager by the Chartered Management Institute in 2009 and has spoken on innovation and regeneration at a number of government and international conferences, including the NBIA 25th annual conference in California.
